The dish is also simplified since no complicated pieces of camping cook ware or utensils are needed – all you need is aluminum foil, and a portable grill if desired.
• Place two salmon steaks on some heavy duty aluminum foil
• Grate some lemon and lime zest into a bowl
• Squeeze some lemon and lime juice over the fish and squeeze the remaining juice into the bowl with the lemon and lime zest
• Sprinkle over the salmon one tablespoon of light olive oil, one teaspoon of cumin, one teaspoon of minced garlic, and salt and pepper
• Cover the salmon with thin slices of lemon and lime
• Mix three tablespoons of melted butter with the lemon and lime zest bowl, then spread on top
• Close the foil packages and cook the salmon by placing in hot coals near the fire or on a grill
